Theme is Missing the Style.css Stylesheet

A common error when installing WordPress themes is “The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.” This will show up right after you’ve uploaded the .zip file for the theme. It looks like this:

Why You’re Getting This Error

The reason you are receiving this error is because you’re uploading the wrong .zip file.

How To Fix It

Upload the right .zip file! When you download your Dinosaur Stew theme, all of the contents will be delivered in one big .zip file. Unzip this file and then you’ll see the .zip file(s) you do need to install (along with all of the other theme content, like the readme guide).
